Responsibilities

The Certified Respiratory Therapist will provide cardio-pulmonary services according to the scope of the State Respiratory Care Practice Act and hospital policy and procedure manuals. Responsibilities include:

• Administering and performing direct and indirect cardio-pulmonary services
• Administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to cardio-pulmonary procedures
• Implementing treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitation, and diagnostic regimens prescribed by a physician using safe and aseptic techniques

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree
• Entry-level experience
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills
• Sufficient hearing, vision, and dexterity to perform duties safely

Qualifications

• Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential (e.g., CRT, RRT)
• Current and valid Louisiana State Respiratory Care Licensure
