Responsibilities

  • Performs specific respiratory care duties and responsibilities under the supervision of the medical director.
  • Adapts to the particular area of duty assignment and performs special duties required by the assignment.
  • Performs all respiratory care procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology and other sciences related to respiratory care.
  • Exhibits mature judgment, honesty, integrity, and a high sense of responsibility.
  • Uses tact and judgment when dealing with physicians, nurses, other hospital employees, patients, and their families.
  • Explains various procedures being performed or demonstrated to other employees, patients, and their families with verbal ability.
  • Supports neonatal units.
  • Works cross-campus for both Mpls and St. Paul locations.

Requirements

  • Licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • RRT credential within 3 months in the role.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • PALS, NRP certified or within 6 months in the role.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.

Benefits

Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee’s scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.

Pay

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market.

Schedule

This position supports neonatal units and works cross-campus for both Mpls and St. Paul locations.
