Respiratory Therapist
About the role
The Respiratory Therapist at CHI St Anthony Hospital will deliver life-saving care across diverse patient populations. You will administer competent respiratory care across all specialty areas (ER, Neonatal, Pedi, Geriatric, Critical Care), directly impacting critical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Competently deliver all Respiratory Care procedures per policy, including monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, and patient assessment.
- Understand and interpret hemodynamic monitoring results.
- Provide patient teaching and training.
- Maintain accurate/complete records of all procedures.
- Verify physician orders; receive/give accurate reports; update patient profile card.
- Attend department in-services, meetings, patient care rounds, and mandatory hospital meetings.
- Keep Supervisor apprised of workload/patient acuity changes.
Requirements
- Graduate from a two (2) year AMA approved School for Respiratory Care; passing score on the NBRC entry level examination.
- Current Oregon State Respiratory Care license.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Current AHA ACLS, PALS, NRP within three (3) months of hire.
Preferred
- Neonate experience.
