Respiratory Therapist

About the role

The Respiratory Therapist at CHI St Anthony Hospital will deliver life-saving care across diverse patient populations. You will administer competent respiratory care across all specialty areas (ER, Neonatal, Pedi, Geriatric, Critical Care), directly impacting critical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Competently deliver all Respiratory Care procedures per policy, including monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, and patient assessment.
• Understand and interpret hemodynamic monitoring results.
• Provide patient teaching and training.
• Maintain accurate/complete records of all procedures.
• Verify physician orders; receive/give accurate reports; update patient profile card.
• Attend department in-services, meetings, patient care rounds, and mandatory hospital meetings.
• Keep Supervisor apprised of workload/patient acuity changes.

Requirements

• Graduate from a two (2) year AMA approved School for Respiratory Care; passing score on the NBRC entry level examination.
• Current Oregon State Respiratory Care license.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS, PALS, NRP within three (3) months of hire.

Preferred

• Neonate experience.
