About the role

The Respiratory Therapist at CHI St Alexius Health Williston will provide expert care to patients suffering from cardiopulmonary conditions. This includes performing a full spectrum of basic and intensive respiratory therapies, assessing, managing, and treating patients, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert care by performing a full spectrum of basic and intensive respiratory therapies as ordered
• Act as a physician extender, assessing, managing, and treating patients with various cardiopulmonary conditions
• Provide vital patient and family education on conditions, disease management, and equipment use
• Collaborate and communicate seamlessly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient transitions of care
• Participate in departmental meetings, integrating evidence-based practices, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited/AMA-certified School of Respiratory Therapy (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Current North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care license
