Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for adults.
• Selects and administers the appropriate care, considering the age, development level and size of the patient.
• Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing.
• Identifies own limitations and seeks appropriate resources, as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree
• 1 year of experience
• V.A. Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Respiratory Care Practitioner BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
• PALS certification (Issued by American Heart Association Provider)
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Credentials renewed and current for all applicable credentials (RRT, RRT-NPS, CPFT, RPFT) (Minimum for new hires post 7/1/2021)
• Pulmonary Function Lab Only: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist CPT required within 6 months of hire
