Respiratory Therapist
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective respiratory care to patients with varying levels of acuity across the facility.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures in accordance with established clinical protocols.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
- Apply strong clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs and manage caseload effectively during night shifts.
Essential Skills
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
- Compliance with Oklahoma state licensure requirements for respiratory therapists.
- Demonstrated strong clinical judgment and a patient-care-focused approach.
- Able to work independently and make sound decisions during night shifts.
- Proficiency in delivering respiratory care in medical and healthcare settings.
- Experience with patient care in acute and potentially critical care environments.
- Ability to use electronic health record systems to document and track patient care.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with performance evaluations and quality improvement processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and families.
- Able to adapt to changing patient needs and prioritize multiple tasks during a shift.
Work Environment
This is an on-site, full-time night-shift position within a clinical healthcare facility. You will work as part of an established respiratory therapy team, collaborating closely with other clinical professionals in a fast-paced environment that serves patients with varying levels of acuity, including critical care. The role involves regular use of respiratory therapy equipment and electronic health record systems to deliver and document patient care. Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62,000.00 - $70,000.00/yr.
