Job Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist at Accolade Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and restoring patients' respiratory health. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough evaluations, administering appropriate treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to reduce hospital readmissions.

Pay

Pay Rate: $35-$40 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation
• Thorough medical record evaluation
• Appropriate treatment to maintain or enhance respiratory function
• Evaluate and treat respiratory issues, including tracheostomy care
• Administer bland aerosols and perform suctioning
• Recommend and implement treatment and preventive measures
• Manage and wean patients from supplemental oxygen and trachs
• Assist with pulmonary rehabilitation
• Provide resident or caregiver education
• Operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain appropriate respiratory supply stock
• Support nursing staff as needed

Qualifications and Skills

• Required Qualifications: Active CRT or RRT credentials, active Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation license, CPR certified (ACLS preferred)
• Experience: Active in Long Term Care, Home Health, LTACH, or sub-acute settings
• Skills: Exceptional clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, physiological knowledge, medication administration, health promotion, strong communication, multi-tasking, problem-solving
