About the Role

Responsible for the overall clinical, technical, and administrative functions of the Home Respiratory Therapist program at the assigned location. This includes the installation and delivery of respiratory therapy equipment, provision of supplies, and ongoing patient and equipment assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the clinical contact for physicians, healthcare practitioners, and others involved in patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records, including charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, and preventative maintenance documentation.
  • Manage and track inventory of all company assets and supplies.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Update demographic information regularly and with any changes in personal or professional status.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory rules and guidelines for respiratory therapy staff.
  • Provide orientation and training for newly hired respiratory therapists and service technicians.
  • Adhere to cost-containment policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with office staff to ensure accurate billing and documentation for third-party payor compliance.
  • Promote and market home respiratory therapy services to referral sources.
  • Ensure proper, safe, and accurate operation of all equipment prior to installation.
  • Provide on-call availability for patient needs on a rotating schedule with other respiratory therapists.
  • Work with team members (RTs, Patient Care Coordinators, and other departments) to complete tasks.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Medical or respiratory experience.
  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
