Respiratory Scientist

About the Department
The Physiology Service (incorporating the Lung Function Laboratory and Home Oxygen Service) within Respiratory Medicine at The Alfred is one of the largest in Victoria. It performs a comprehensive range of physiological assessments using state-of-the-art equipment.
About the Role
We currently have a fixed-term Grade 1 Respiratory Scientist position available (3 days per week, 0.63 EFT) until late February 2027. As a respiratory scientist, you will perform both routine and complex respiratory function tests, including:
- Preparation and cleaning of equipment
- Quality control activities
- Instruction of patients
- Assessment of test validity
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science/Applied Science or equivalent
- Relevant experience in lung function testing is desirable but not essential
- ANZSRS CRFS credential is desirable but not essential
