About the role
Under the general supervision of the clinical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee, this position provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. It involves direct patient care in the Sleep Disorders Lab, performing sleep studies and scoring of sleep studies, and involvement in all sleep related clinics.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze patient information.
- Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to published standards.
- Perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.
- Perform polysomnographic procedures, including MSLT, MWT, parasomnia studies, PAP, ventilator titration, and oxygen titration.
- Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to center-specific protocols.
- Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
- Oversee and perform difficult and unusual procedures and therapeutic interventions.
- Respond to procedural-related inquiries.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care accredited by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Experience in Pulmonary or Sleep Medicine preferred, and Pediatric experience preferred.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, and Certification as a Polysomnography Technologist preferred.
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
- Registered in Sleep Technology by The American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM), The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BPRT) or an equivalent examination accepted by The Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).

Benefits
Every 4th weekend rotation (Fri-Sun); bonus $10,000 (external candidates only).
Pay
Commensurate with experience.
Schedule
FT, 3 - 12 hour nights/week (6pm-6:30am).
