About the role

The Respiratory Intern provides direct patient care in respiratory therapy under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with respiratory treatments
• Assess patient needs, and monitor responses
• Support patient and family education
• Document care accurately in electronic health records
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams
• Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment
• Participate in team communications and departmental tasks

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Care program
• Current Temporary Educational Permit (Respiratory Student License) with licensure obtained within 90 days
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
