About the Role
As the Respiratory Clinical Coordinator, you will provide assistance with clinical education and leadership initiatives to the RT staff as well as assistance with day-to-day departmental operations. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with in-services and staff education
- Daily evaluation of care plans for regulatory compliance audits
- Conducting staff evaluations
- Serving as primary preceptor for new employees
- Assisting with development and implementation of new policies and procedures
- Completing and maintaining the monthly staff schedule
- Providing education and maintaining respiratory equipment
- Offering on-call support for all respiratory emergencies at Brighton Park Emergency Department
You must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of patients, internal, and external customers.
Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree – Graduate of an accredited 2-year respiratory therapy program is required
- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
- Neonate Resuscitate (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)
- (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist (required upon hire)
- Experience: 5 years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required, with 3 years of Level 3 or Level 4 NICU experience. Previous management or leadership experience is preferred.
