About the role
The Respiratory Care Tech at CHI Health Lakeside provides essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. The role involves assessing respiratory status, implementing treatment plans, educating patients/families, documenting interventions, and collaborating with physicians and medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Assess respiratory status
- Implement treatment plans (oxygen, ventilation, airway management)
- Document interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff
- Stock respiratory equipment and supplies
- Maintain equipment by performing safety checks
- Clean and set up equipment
- Deliver compressed gas to multiple locations within the hospital
- Communicate with staff and supervisors regarding equipment levels and par
- Perform only modalities that fall under the scope of non-licensed personnel
Requirements
- Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Basic Life Support - CPR

Pay
The posted compensation range is $16.06 - $22.69 /hour, which is a reasonable estimate based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Schedule
The role is available on a PRN basis, with a flexible weekly schedule.
