Responsibilities
- Partner with physicians/staff to provide patient-centered care and outstanding service.
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care to patients and families.
- Perform direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Collaborate with other team members to perform other appropriate services as directed.
Requirements
- Earned High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Indiana Student Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
- Currently enrolled in a school of respiratory therapy and have completed the associated introductory respiratory care courses, with completion of first year or second year student
- Documented verification of procedural competencies specific to respiratory care
- Following graduation from a school of respiratory therapy, employees may stay in this role as long as their Indiana State License has not expired and until the results of the registered respiratory therapist exam are received from the NBRC.
Qualifications
