About the role
The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. At PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals
- Maintains all equipment in working order
- Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification
- Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree
Qualifications
- Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred
Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of respiratory care practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills
