Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - FT Nights | Allen Rehab

About the role

The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. PAM Health cares for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals
• Maintains all equipment in working order
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada
• At least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree
• Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree preferred
• One year of clinical respiratory experience preferred

Skills

• Respiratory care certification or license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to operate medical equipment
