Respiratory Care Practitioner II

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and diagnostic services to inpatients and outpatients
• Assess patients, perform diagnostic tests, and deliver respiratory treatments
• Support airway management, ventilation, and secretion removal
• Calibrate and maintain respiratory equipment
• Assist with patient transport, discharge planning, and education
• Participate in clinical rounds, emergency response teams, and specialized testing such as pulmonary diagnostics and EEG
• Document care accurately in electronic records

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Practitioner program
• Associate’s degree required; BS/BA preferred
• Active Maryland license and NBRC registration
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications (ACLS within six months)
• Strong knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic procedures
• Proficiency with respiratory equipment and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word

Additional Details

• Support for pulmonary rehabilitation, diagnostics, and neurodiagnostic testing as needed
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare team and contribute to patient care plans
