About the Role

The Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner provides high-quality respiratory and diagnostic services across various clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, perform diagnostic tests, and deliver respiratory treatments.
• Support airway management, ventilation, and secretion removal.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, document care accurately, and support patient education.
• Participate in clinical rounds, emergency teams, and departmental duties.
• Assist with pulmonary diagnostics, rehabilitation, EEG, and NCV testing as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Practitioner program; Associate’s degree required, BS/BA preferred.
• Current Maryland license and NBRC registration.
• CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications (ACLS within six months).
• Knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic procedures.
• Proficiency with respiratory equipment, troubleshooting, and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and patient support capabilities.
