About the role
The Department-based Respiratory Therapist is expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contemporary Respiratory Therapy principles. He/she will collaborate with Physicians and Nurses in planning and implementing the patient plan of care. Assistance with the delivery and direction of Respiratory Therapy may also be provided, including operating and maintaining complex ventilatory support systems, monitoring and resuscitation devices, respiratory care procedures, and patient assessments, diagnostic procedures, and oxygen therapy. Additional responsibilities may include other patient care functions for which qualified.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contemporary Respiratory Therapy principles.
- Collaborate with Physicians and Nurses in planning and implementing the patient plan of care.
- Assist the Physician with the delivery and direction of Respiratory Therapy.
- Operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems, monitoring and resuscitation devices, respiratory care procedures, and patient assessments, diagnostic procedures, and oxygen therapy.

Requirements
Completion of the department orientation program as well as unit-specific orientation, as required, is mandatory.
Qualifications
- Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Pay
$35.47 - $57.13 per hour. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
