About the role

The Respiratory Care Practitioner Advanced (U39) is a full-time position requiring a RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care, a current Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license, and CPR and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients receiving respiratory care.
• Apply and demonstrate knowledge of cardiopulmonary disease principles and treatment.
• Work all shifts with some rotation.
• Perform CPR as needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner (U39): RRT, Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license, CPR and BLS certified.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) (U13): Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license, CRT certification, CPR and BLS certified.
• Respiratory Care Staff Technician (U22): National Board for Respiratory Care Certification exam eligibility or enrollment in an approved respiratory care program, Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license, CPR and BLS certified.

Skills

• Good physical and mental health.
• Able to work all shifts with some rotation.

Physical Requirements

• Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision.
• Constant 67-100% ability to hear, with or without aides.
• Constant 67-100% ability to orally communicate.
• Constant 67-100% good manual dexterity.
• Constant 67-100% ability to push, pull, roll, transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally.
• Constant 67-100% ability to stand/walk frequently.
• Constant 67-100% ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently.
• Constant 67-100% ability to perform CPR.
