Respiratory Care Intern

Department: Respiratory Therapy • Facility: Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital • Location: Evanston, IL 60201

Schedule

• Per Diem (as needed)
• 4 hour shifts
• Variable shift

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate inventory levels for all equipment and supplies used by the department
• Remove small oxygen and air compressed cylinders and resupply full tanks at the appropriate par levels in designated areas throughout the hospital

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Student of a Respiratory Program is required
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Knowledge of compressed gas cylinders, respiratory equipment including mechanical ventilators, and ventilation testing prior to patient use
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
• Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to move and/or lift large objects, and medium weight load frequently up to 50 lbs

Pay

Reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
