Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the mortgage industry preferred
- Deep knowledge of RESPA and TRID requirements
- Knowledge of basic mortgage practices
- Able to read and interpret documents such as promissory notes, regulatory and legal directives and other loan documents
- Able to plan and organize tasks and work responsibilities to achieve objectives
Responsibilities
- Complete change of circumstance requests and re-disclose within allowable timeline as applicable
- Verify accuracy of fees in accordance with applicable loan program and loan purpose
- Ensure loan meets all investor, regulatory, and state compliance standards including but not limited to TRID, HOEPA, QM, HPML/High Cost, Originator Compensation, and VA Allowable/Non-Allowable Fees
- Utilize daily RESPA Redisclosure reports to ensure redisclosures are performed in a timely manner
- Rerun AUS as needed for loan amount/rate/loan term changes
- Address errors and inconsistencies with data while preparing files for the next phase of the approval process
- Manage the Set-Up phase of the loan approval process; meet pipeline expectations
- Assemble documents provided by brokers into loan file
- Enter loan data in OPS system, run operational systems as needed
- Verify all data for accuracy; recognize and correct errors in source documents
- Cook up workflow with brokers, branches, Account Executives and team
