About the role

This role is within the Resources Business Group at HDR, a company committed to fostering an inclusive environment and driving positive change in the power, waste, and industrial sectors. The Resources Business Group Data Steward will play a pivotal role in ensuring data is clear, consistent, and reusable across the Business Group and HDR.

Responsibilities

  • Work as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from Business Classes and Practices.
  • Develop and maintain specific data glossary(ies) for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
  • Build alignment and consensus around data processes, priority, and expected use.
  • Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, best practice for format, and reuse.
  • Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory awareness, storage, and lifecycle considerations).
  • Work with Enterprise Data Operations to help lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons learned across our business classes and practices.
  • Promote data fluency across the RBG.
  • Regularly communicate and collaborate with other BG Data Stewards, BG and Enterprise Data Science Teams, and Enterprise Data Operations staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of strategic leadership experience focused on growing, developing, and leading teams in change management and business data.
  • Minimum 15 years of overall experience providing diverse data-focused solutions and services to an organization and the industry.
  • Experience within the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Previous experience in the power, industrial and/or waste sectors is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.
  • Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values.

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $150,000-$200,000 depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
