Resource / Travel MDS Coordinator (RN/LPN)

About the Role

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated MDS Float to provide coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs related to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QM’s), Medicaid Casemix, and Medicare guidelines. This role requires the ability to travel Monday through Friday, with overnight stays as needed, across Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and North Carolina. Mileage and lodging are reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions within Signature HealthCARE facilities.
• Educate and implement programs applying to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), Prospective Payment Systems (PPS), Quality Measures (QM’s), Medicaid Casemix, and Medicare guidelines for all stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with the Clinical Reimbursement Specialist in onboarding new MDS Coordinators.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and Medicaid Case Mix when applicable.
• Conduct resident assessments and meet with families.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the ability to obtain multi-state licensures.
• Minimum of three (3) years of MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time, including overnight stays as needed.
