About the Role
The Resource Technician II works closely with the Resource Technician I to support the day-to-day functioning of the Gilmore Center and other meeting, learning, and event locations within the Bronson system. This role provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers by offering training and assistance with audio/visual equipment, video/audio conferencing, and the resource scheduling system.
Responsibilities
- Provide training and assistance with audio/visual equipment, video/audio conferencing, and resource scheduling systems.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment and software, often under pressure before or during customer events.
- Process reservation requests for classrooms, computer labs, conference rooms, and special accommodations.
- Assist with catering and serve as the primary backup for BMH Catering in the absence of the Catering Coordinator.
- Perform room setups, cleaning, and maintenance of the Gilmore Center and other assigned areas.
- Assist with deployment of new training resources and processes.
- Set up and record video conferencing throughout the Bronson system.
- Support event scheduling and catering system-wide.
- Operate and troubleshoot AV equipment, including microphones, speakers, monitors, projectors, video cameras, recording equipment, and relevant software.
- Provide training for WebEx, MondoPads, resource software, virtual meetings, and additional AV equipment.
- Administer room, catering, and AV scheduling software.
- Maintain and update Room Resources Internet and Intranet Webpages.
- Assist customers with scheduling systems, audio/video conferencing, and other assigned software.
- Perform AV preventative maintenance and assist with the implementation of new AV equipment.
- Assign specific room configurations, set up rooms, and ensure the care of conference centers and other meeting/event areas.
- Compose and develop routine memos, correspondence, and written materials.
- Operate industrial cleaning machinery.
- Travel by personal vehicle to multiple locations throughout the system.
- Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting and resolving AV-related problems.
- Assist organization-wide Hardware and AV Support teams with setups.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three years of experience, with two years of progressive experience in A/V equipment, virtual meeting software, or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of software such as WebEx, wireless video/audio connectors, video editing, TurningPoint Technology, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to troubleshoot AV equipment and virtual meeting technology.
- Familiarity with end-user business practices, concepts, and terminology in a healthcare environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues in a short timeframe.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining friendly and courteous customer service behavior.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Dependability and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Practical understanding of Universal Precautions, use of cleaning chemicals, and completion of self-inspections.
- Knowledge of safe food handling, delivery, and setup of catered food and supplies.
- Valid driver’s license and qualification for coverage under Bronson driving insurance.
- Ability to lift bulky or moderately heavy weights (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally assist with heavier tasks.
Schedule
First Shift, Full time, 40 scheduled weekly hours.
