About the role
Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Resource Manager to support our growing Tax Practice in a hybrid work environment. This role is instrumental in driving operational excellence by aligning talent with business needs, improving utilization, and delivering insights that support engagement success and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Tax Practice leaders and engagement teams to understand business needs and drive consistency across locations, with a focus on efficiency and financial performance.
- Analyze scheduling, utilization, and forecasting data to provide insights that support staffing decisions and improve workforce planning.
- Maintain workforce plans and partner with leadership, Finance, and HR to address variances and support strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate scheduling discussions, provide recommendations, and follow up on outstanding staffing challenges to ensure timely resolution.
- Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, serving as a key advisor on resource management and operational efficiency.
- Participate in talent development discussions, offering input on staffing opportunities aligned with individual goals and career growth.
- Lead or support onboarding and training related to scheduling systems, tools, and processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by sharing best practices and supporting firmwide resource management initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in resource management, scheduling, or related experience within a professional services or public accounting environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to create presentations with charts, graphics, and data analysis
- Excellent analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Experience identifying challenges, making recommendations, and knowing when to escalate complex issues
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams, functions, and levels of the organization
- Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on coaching, development, and collaboration
- Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to drive process enhancements and support change initiatives

Pay
The salary range for this position is $96,000 - $169,000.
