About the role

CohnReznick is seeking a Resource Management, Senior Specialist (Tax) to support our South-West region, working Pacific Time Zone business hours. This is a remote position, though occasional in-office presence may be required for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

Resource Management planning enables our businesses to mobilize the right talent, at the right place, at the right time. It is intrinsically linked with Employee Experience, Recruiting, Financial Planning, and Learning Development planning, providing a roadmap to meet commitments to our people and business.

Responsibilities

  • Continually monitor utilization levels against business plans, highlighting adverse variance and potential issues for resolution for a minimum of 75 professionals in Advisory, Assurance, and Tax.
  • Monitor the task list in our Resource Management (RM) technology tool to approve resource requests, PTO, CPE, etc.
  • Understand specialization requirements, timing constraints, staffing continuity, and geographic considerations for assigned business units.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of employees’ preferences regarding skills, interests, and career development opportunities.
  • Ensure planning and prioritization decisions align with resource skills, interests, and cost considerations using a common methodology.
  • Deliver monthly metrics on staffing trends and resource activities to improve visibility of unallocated resources and increase cross-sharing staffing activity.
  • Ensure the labor workforce is efficiently planned according to operational requirements and resource management service level agreements.
  • Communicate effectively internally with team members and externally with vendors.
  • Apply influence skills to promote procedural best practices using data, logic, or business cases.
  • Oversee processes and technology to ensure they are being performed effectively.
  • Handle additional responsibilities and projects as directed by the Resource Management Center of Excellence.

Requirements

  • 4-year undergraduate degree in Business Management/Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Tax or Assurance resource management or workforce planning experience.
  • Ability to apply resource management procedures and policies, translating them to assigned business units and leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel (pivot tables, macros, and analytics via pivot charts).
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and utilization metrics.
  • Strong organization and time management skills to ensure accurate and timely completion of work-related activities.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and analytical skills, including effective use of Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral presentation, listening, and influencing skills; ability to exercise creative problem-solving techniques.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required as needed.

Pay

In California, the salary range for this role is $85,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, in accordance with applicable employment laws.
