RESOURCE DATA ANALYST
About the role
You will serve as a RESOURCE DATA ANALYST in the Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Duties include assisting with the overall accomplishment of the organization’s program mission, providing data analysis support, performing resource, quality, and performance improvement reviews, and developing, maintaining, and reporting quality data.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the overall accomplishment of the organization’s program mission.
- Provide pertinent data analysis support to the office through various aspects of data collection, categorization, trend analysis, and data finalization via report.
- Perform resource, quality, and performance improvement reviews to identify trends in support of the missions of the Production Resources Department.
- Develop, maintain, and report quality data ensuring accurate information is maintained.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
- Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
- GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience with applying conventional methods to gather, analyze, and evaluate information dealing with management processes.
- Experience applying management techniques and practices to research, analyze and advise management on administrative issues.
- Experience in maintaining effective relationships with all levels of management.
- Experience utilizing knowledge of and use of Microsoft office products and records management.
- GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience gathering information, identifying and analyzing data, including identifying issues and developing recommendations to resolve problems.
- Experience developing and maintaining databases showing information derived from data categorization.
- Experience applying effective communication at varying levels of management.
- Experience applying knowledge of electronic equipment and systems such as personal computer, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint or similar.
