About the role
The Resource Coordinator, Support Services facilitates the delivery of quality service for a designated section of the inpatient phlebotomy laboratory. The coordinator works 25% of the time in resource coordination.
Responsibilities
- Investigates and resolves service problems between support services, nursing units, outpatient areas and clinical testing departments.
- Coordinates specimen processing and delivery and result distribution.
- Verifies non-patient information according to established protocol where needed.
- Enters orders, verifies specimens, registers patients, collects, receives, and processes specimens, aliquots specimens, performs test management, reviews results, amends reports, responds to inquiries, stores documents and records, and performs charge capture/billing.
- Ensures quality of operations and provides service excellence.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; computer data entry experience.
- Three years of Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Pay
Compensation: USD 21.39 - USD 29.95 - hourly
