Resort Maintenance Technician- The Wigwam

About the role

The Wigwam is a Four Diamond property with 331 guest rooms spanning 440 acres. Located in Litchfield Park, AZ, The Wigwam is a renowned Arizona landmark deeply entwined with Arizona history since 1929. We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Performs general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring, and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Makes repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures.
• Maintains logs on completed tasks.
• Prepares reports as requested by supervisors.
• Submits all requested reports/logs in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• An engaging and welcoming personality.
• A strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.

Schedule

Shifts may vary and include weekends and holidays. Specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
