Responsibilities
- Maintain and conduct routine inspections of all guest rooms and common areas, ensuring that furniture, appliances, and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, and lighting fixtures are fully operational and meet company quality standards.
- Inspect paintwork and flooring regularly, performing touch-ups or replacements as necessary to preserve the aesthetic appeal and safety of all interiors.
- Perform repairs and replacement of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including individual air conditioning units, guaranteeing optimal climate control for guest comfort.
- Clean and upkeep outdoor areas of the property, including parking lots, swimming pools, landscaped gardens, and walkways, to maintain a pristine and inviting atmosphere.
- Ensure that both the interior and exterior of the resort are consistently well-maintained, addressing any wear and tear promptly to uphold a high standard of guest satisfaction and safety.
- Carry out minor adjustments and repairs to HVAC systems, room furniture, fixtures, and other resort equipment to avoid service interruptions.
- Monitor the operation of pools and pump systems meticulously, following established safety and maintenance protocols to guarantee the health and safety of all aquatic facilities.
- Implement scheduled preventative maintenance routines designed to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems, thereby reducing downtime and repair costs.
- Diligently report any major maintenance or repair needs to the General Manager for timely coordination and resolution, ensuring minimal impact on guest experience.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of meeting rooms and event spaces, helping to prepare the resort for various functions and ensuring facilities are returned to standard promptly afterward.
- Provide support in other resort departments as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork to contribute to overall operational success.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and maintenance requests, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering strictly to safety protocols, using proper tools and techniques to prevent accidents and maintain an accident-free workspace.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of maintenance or groundskeeping experience is necessary.
- Licenses/Certificates: Must possess an active Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or be able to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
- Background Checks: Employment offers may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and/or drug screening.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, effective time management, a positive can-do attitude, a sense of urgency, and a solid work ethic.
