About the role

Lad Lake is a COA-accredited, nonprofit, independent organization serving kids and families from across the state. We work with 1,200+ youth and their families through evidence-based, trauma-informed programs at three Southeastern Wisconsin campuses. Our mission is to guide growth; diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the center of everything.

A day in the life of a Treatment Tech includes:

  • Being there for youth, their families, and other support teams through positive role modeling, teaching emotional regulation, building healthy relationships, and life skills
  • Planning and leading activities, conducting daily routines in an engaging, structured way
  • Guiding youth during challenging moments using verbal de-escalation techniques
  • Keeping track of events and completing appropriate documentation
  • Providing transportation in agency vehicles for community activities
  • Protecting youth by honoring privacy practices
  • In rare cases, physically intervening to ensure safety

Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • At least 21 years old
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office
  • Patience, understanding, and a focus on trauma-informed care
  • Ability to celebrate and work with diverse cultures, backgrounds, and abilities
  • Physical ability to engage with active youth and lift at least 30 lbs
