Residential Youth Counselor
About the role
As a Youth Counselor at North Homes Children and Family Services, you will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and healing environment for youth ages 10-18. No prior experience is required, but you will gain valuable experience in the behavioral health field.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care, supervision, and mentorship to youth
- Build trusting relationships with youth
- Support emotional and behavioral growth of each youth
- Maintain a structured, therapeutic environment
- Teach coping and life skills
- Model healthy boundaries
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated, supportive team
Requirements
No prior experience is required, but you must have strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a passion for working with youth.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
