About the role
InReach provides supports and services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families. We focus on meeting each individual’s unique needs through the delivery of high-quality services.Responsibilities
- Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking.
- Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
- Provide community recreational activities when available.
- Participate in in-home leisure activities.
- Document activities.
- Help residents develop healthy social habits.
- Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
- Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.
Requirements
- Basic American Sign Language (ASL)
- At least 6 months of previous experience (paid or volunteer) working with the I/DD population or experience relevant to the role; must be verifiable.
- At least 21 years old; prior group home experience preferred.
- A valid Driver's license
- A High School Diploma or GED
