Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans for youth in care
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approaches
- Deliver crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization support for youth with acute behavioral health needs
- Develop and maintain treatment plans, safety plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation in alignment with Medi-Cal and county requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care for each youth
- Participate in treatment team meetings, discharge planning, and case conferences with internal teams and external partners
- Engage caregivers and family members in treatment to support permanency, connection, and stability when appropriate
- Partner with county behavioral health, child welfare, and community providers to coordinate services and continuity of care
- Support quality assurance efforts through chart reviews, audits, utilization review, and ongoing clinical compliance
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, or a related field
- Active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CA BBS)
- Previous experience in an acute psychiatric setting, acute residential placement such as Short-Term Residential Treatment Program (STRTP), or providing intensive crisis support to youth preferred
- At least 21 years of age
