About the role
The Idaho Youth Ranch is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in the state of Idaho. Our mission: We unite for Idaho’s youth by providing accessible programs and services that nurture hope, healing, and resilience. As a Residential Therapist at our new Residential Center for Healing and Resilience (RCHR)—a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) on our 258-acre Hands of Promise Campus in Idaho’s Treasure Valley—you will directly impact the lives of youth by nurturing their hope, healing, and resilience when they need it most.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions
- Utilize therapeutic techniques that are trauma-oriented, evidence-based, and age-appropriate
- Prepare psychotherapy documents encompassing all patient care and ensure mental health forms are complete and accurate
- Conduct assessments consistent with the age group and population, demonstrating full understanding and identifying mental health issues
- May have scheduled sessions in the late afternoon/evenings or on weekends, based on client needs and availability
- Rotate on-call duties
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a human services field: social work, counseling, psychology, or marriage and family therapy
- Licensed as LMSW, LCSW, LMAFT, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, or PhD
- A valid Idaho driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 15 days of hire
- At least 25 years of age
- Must be located in Idaho or within a reasonable distance to our facility
