About the role
Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. (BCRI) is a nationally recognized nonprofit and Baltimore’s only comprehensive crisis response system. Since 1992, we’ve been at the forefront of behavioral health crisis care — providing timely, community-based services for individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
Responsibilities
- Supports the delivery of care and engagement of individuals under care by participating in group supervision and by reviewing evaluations, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Monitors and documents the health and safety of individuals in care at scheduled intervals, including common rooms, restrooms, bedrooms, cafeterias, therapy/case management offices, and outdoor areas.
- Models pro-social interactions and encourages participation in therapeutic activities in individual and group settings.
- Follows universal precautions and health protocols, maintaining a clean and healthy environment of care through sanitation activities, including but not limited to: trash removal, wiping frequently touched surfaces and work areas, laundry, cleaning of dishes/utensils, and occasional spills or messes.
- Uses company vehicles to provide transportation for individuals entering, receiving, or discharged from care.
- Warms and serves meals and food items following health and safety protocols, following documented medical orders for specialty diets and restrictions by the medical practitioner.
- Maintains activities of daily living.
- Serves as a liaison as assigned and appropriate for internal and external stakeholders, care partners, and visitors.
- Demonstrates adherence to company policies, expectations, and behavioral competencies, both explicit and implicit.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent, Required
- Associate degree in Human Services or related field, Preferred
- Additional Valid and unrestricted driver's license, required
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer workstation
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
- Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds at times
