About the role

The Residential Skills Trainer will provide training and support to residents on various life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and personal hygiene. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training sessions on life skills to residents
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that training needs are met
• Assist residents with individualized skill-building plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, human services)
• At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar capacity
• Experience in developing and delivering training programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Knowledge of disability-related issues and resources
