About the Role

Vailes Home Improvement Services is seeking a Residential Service Plumber to join a growing, family‑owned team known for dependable HVAC, plumbing, and home‑improvement services. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing residential plumbing systems while helping homeowners understand their options and make informed decisions about repairs, replacements, and maintenance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to in‑home service calls and accurately diagnose plumbing issues.
• Perform repairs, drain cleaning, fixture installation, and system troubleshooting.
• Provide clear recommendations to customers regarding repairs, replacements, and maintenance.
• Maintain strong communication with customers, dispatch, and the office team.
• Keep the service vehicle organized and fully stocked.
• Document work accurately in company systems.
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor apprentices and assist newer team members in developing technical and customer‑service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of plumbing experience with strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and local plumbing codes.
• Proficiency in soldering, pipe threading, fixture installation, gas‑leak testing, and general plumbing diagnostics and repairs.
• Clean driving record.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build trust with customers and work effectively in a team‑focused environment.
• Organized, dependable, and motivated to continuously improve technical skills.
• Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug test upon receiving a conditional offer.

Pay

Base pay ranges from $25.00 to $34.00+ per hour, depending on experience. Total compensation potential is approximately $90,000 annually, including performance incentives and commissions.
