Residential Service Electrician

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to service calls.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues such as wiring problems, overloaded circuits, tripped breakers and more.
  • Perform accurate repairs, replace switches, outlets, fixtures, breakers and damaged wiring.
  • Test and verify work using multimeters and voltage testers to ensure safe and code compliant results.
  • Explain issues and solutions clearly to homeowners and offer recommendations for safety upgrades.
  • Generate accurate estimates.
  • Maintain clean and safe job sites.
  • Ensure all jobs are documented.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience as a residential electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes and safety practices.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Pay

  • The starting rate for this opportunity ranges from $75K-$130K/annually.
  • The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.

Schedule

  • Stand/Sit: Must be able to remain in stationary position 50% of the time. May be required to bend, climb (Stairs/Ladders), do repetitive motion, kneel, reach, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and run.
  • May be required to drive and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to maneuver up to 75 lb. by lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling.
  • May be required to work in outdoor weather conditions.
