Responsibilities

• Understand Orkin’s products and services and sell them to a variety of industries.
• Make strategic recommendations to new and existing businesses to help prevent pests and meet regulatory standards.
• Serve as a problem solver for commercial clients by utilizing in-depth training to determine the best pest solution for each customer’s needs.
• Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads.
• Use marketing tools to drive new business development.
• Conduct inspections of the interior and exterior of clients’ commercial properties (training provided).
• Make recommendations based on inspections, address client questions, explain processes, and set expectations.
• Use a company-provided iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized (training provided).

Requirements

• Sales experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently and interact with clients inside and outside of their properties.

Work Environment

• Meet physical job requirements, including safely using a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Work in various weather conditions.
