Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Residential Remodeling Drafter with extensive experience using Chief Architect software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the residential remodeling industry and a comprehensive understanding of Seattle's residential building codes and regulations. This role requires in-office presence for 16 hours a week, split over 2 to 3 days.
Requirements
- Utilize Chief Architect software to create detailed and accurate plans
- Collaborate effectively with interior designers, structural engineers, and other team members
- Ensure all designs comply with Seattle's residential building codes and regulations
- Produce technical drawings, elevations, site plans, and plan sets required for permit applications
- Maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting and design work
- Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with team members and clients
- Stay updated with the latest construction methods and materials
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Chief Architect software
- 3+ years of drafting for residential remodeling or architecture
- In-depth knowledge of Seattle's residential building codes and regulations
- Able to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with construction methods and materials
- Able to interpret and create technical drawings, elevations, site plans, and plan sets required for permit applications
Benefits
Hourly, $30/hr to $40/hr, based on experience
