Residential Recovery Services - Awake Overnight Counselor

About the role

The Oasis program partner's with Harrington Hospital to provide 6-12 months of residential recovery services to 16 adults who have both mental health and substance use disorders. Oasis is not a typical group home environment - our model is to support all paths to wellness and recovery including yoga, meditation, smart recovery, therapy animals, 12-step programs, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, support, and help individuals live as independently as possible.
• Implement procedures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and maintain the physical site's cleanliness and safety.
• Complete basic housekeeping tasks, file paperwork, and keep shift logs.
• Support individuals in taking their medications as necessary.
• Assist with daily living skills, morning transports, and other supports as needed.
• Show good judgment and communicate/ask for support from the team and supervisors when needed.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, is required.
• A valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record are required.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities are essential.

Qualifications

• Must remain awake and alert for the entirety of the overnight shift.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Basic knowledge of medication administration.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
