Residential Program Trainee (Part-Time) (Local Government)

The part-time Residential Program Trainee at CMSU MH/ID Unit offers a chance to make a real impact every day. Responsibilities
- Assist clients as they learn cooking, nutrition, hygiene, medication management, money management, and housekeeping
- Help create and carry out individual service plans that support client learning goals
- Participate in recreational and social activities under close supervision, providing transportation as required
- Teach clients about the availability and use of community resources and facilities
- Support clients as they build stronger social skills
Schedule
Part-time employment at a 24-hour, 7-day/week Residential Facility for individuals with Behavioral Health and co-occurring disorders. Work hours will vary. Telework is not an option in this position.
Requirements
- No previous experience and training required
- Must meet the PA residency requirement
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
- Must pass a background investigation
- Position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law; conditional offer requires submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
