Residential Peer Support Specialist - 4512
About the role
Support the Multnomah County region by meeting new residents at admission, guiding them in articulating self-determined goals, and engaging in one-to-one conversations to build trust and connect with community peer support systems.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and coordinate peer groups where residents can discuss their recovery stories and challenges.
- Engage in crisis de-escalation training, requiring the performance of various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.
Requirements
- Personal experience with mental health challenges.
- Must be certified and registered as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
- Valid Oregon driver’s license required, with a safe driving record and ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings.

Pay
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (Full Time, Day)
