Residential Interior/Exterior Designer

About the role

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong sense of design, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. This position will be responsible for working with the design and sales team in executing the daily design needs of the company. This includes, but is not limited to: on-site measurements, completing as-built and proposed design drawings, and assisting the design team as directed.

Responsibilities

• Leading meetings with clients, determining clients' needs, designing the space and/or structure, selecting materials, and following projects through completion from a design standpoint
• Working from the office (this is not a work-from-home position)
• Fluent in AutoCAD and 3D rendering programs; currently using Chief Architect
• Some construction and design experience required, as this is a full-service design and build company
• Types of projects include kitchens, bathrooms, additions, exteriors, lower levels, exterior living spaces, complete interior updates, porches, and decks

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Interior Design
• Strong knowledge of the residential market
• Able to work both independently and within a team
• Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong work ethic
