Residential Home Build - Drywall

Responsibilities

• Hang, tape, mud, and finish drywall throughout residential or commercial spaces
• Install moisture-resistant drywall in wet areas (e.g., bathrooms, kitchens)
• Install fire-rated drywall assemblies where required (e.g., garages)
• Hang standard drywall on walls and ceilings
• Cut drywall to fit around electrical boxes, windows, and doors
• Fasten drywall at specified spacing per building codes
• Apply tape at all joints and corners
• Apply first coat of joint compound
• Apply second coat and feather edges for smooth transitions
• Apply third finish coat as needed
• Sand surfaces smooth between coats
• Apply skim coat if specified for ultra-smooth finish
• Prime all drywall surfaces before painting or final finishing
• Deliver smooth or textured finishes per project specifications
