Residential Facility Manager

Position Details

Location: Van Nuys
Full-Time: Overnight Shift
Wednesday - Saturday
11:00 PM – 9:00AM

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the group home, ensuring a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residents
• Train, supervise, and support direct care staff in collaboration with leadership while ensuring compliance with agency policies and licensing regulations
• Serve as a key resource for both staff and residents, maintaining operational excellence and promoting a structured, therapeutic environment
• Supervise youth and non-minor dependents, coordinate planned activities, and apply the Reasonable and Prudent Parenting Standard
• Administer medications, monitor meals, housekeeping, and other resident care responsibilities
• Respond effectively to crises, including CPI intervention techniques, AWOL situations, and maintain required certifications (CPR/First Aid)
• Complete documentation, reports, communication logs, and participate in required meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with Title 22 and agency standards, oversee petty cash procedures, communicate with families, and support the overall health and safety of residents

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of full-time experience working with youth (or equivalent CDSS-approved education/experience)
• At least 2 years of experience in a group home or STRTP in a social work or comparable residential role
• Proven leadership experience with staff supervision and team development
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during crisis situations
