About the role
KEP Electric, a subsidiary of IES Residential, is seeking experienced Residential Electricians in Dayton, Ohio, and the surrounding communities of Troy and Lima, for an upcoming project in Defiance, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical wiring, devices, fixtures, panels, and equipment in single-family and multifamily residential construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, electrical layouts, and specifications.
- Perform rough-in, trim-out, and final electrical installations according to project schedules.
- Install and terminate electrical panels, breakers, switches, receptacles, lighting fixtures, and low-voltage systems.
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company quality standards.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, builders, inspectors, and other trades to maintain project timelines.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary corrections.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies at all times.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of residential electrical construction experience.
- Experience in single-family, multifamily, or production residential construction environments.
- Experience with rough-in, trim-out, and final phase electrical installations.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and residential construction practices.
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and productivity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License (as required by state or local jurisdiction).
- Experience working in production homebuilding and multifamily construction environments.
- Experience leading crews or mentoring apprentices.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
