Residential Electrician

About the role

Responsible for troubleshooting, aluminum wiring remediation, and outlet/circuit installations in occupied apartments and common areas within multifamily residential communities in the Rochester area.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in apartments and common areas
• Perform aluminum wiring remediation using approved methods
• Install outlets, switches, fixtures, breakers, and circuits
• Diagnose panel, grounding, and load issues
• Ensure all work is code-compliant and inspection-ready
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all company rules and OSHA safety standards

Requirements

• Familiarity with the current edition of the NEC
• Ability to read blueprints
• Professional, resident-friendly demeanor
• Positive attitude

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician (NYS or municipal preferred)
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician (NYS or municipal preferred)
• 5+ years experience in residential or multifamily service work
• Strong troubleshooting skills; able to work independently
• Aluminum wiring remediation experience strongly preferred
• Valid drivers license; clean driving record

SkillsMust be able to communicate professionally with residents and site staff

Must be able to document work performed and materials used

Pay

$42.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday to Friday; On-call stipend; Stable year-round work

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Electrical: 5+ years
• Read blueprints: 2+ years

License/Certification

• Driver's License (Required)
• Licensed Electrician and/or Licensed Journeyman Electrician (NYS or municipal preferred)
